Christmas Carols Organized for Children at Orphanage

Consequent upon sponsorship given by Mrs Asha Upendrani, a teacher at D.S. Senanayake College, Colombo 8, the Army troops of the 591 Brigade under the 59 Division staged a special Christmas Carols Programme at Ladani Children's Home at Mullaitivu on Saturday (25).

The guidance of the General Officer Commanding of the 59 Division, Major General Sooriya Bandara as instructed by the Commander-SF-MLT enabled Christmas Carols to entertain those orphaned children and other attendees. The close supervision of the Commander of the 591 Brigade, Brigadier Sujeewa Perera made the event a success.

Christmas Carols were sung by children of Ladani Children's Home. Mrs Upendrani, sponsor of the event, Senior Officers, Officers and 24 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment troops, Commanding Officer Major N.T.C.S Nallaperuma were among those who were associated with the event. The event strictly followed preventive health guidelines during the event.
