Chief of Staff with Senior Officers Attends Board Meeting at Buttala AWC

Major General C.D Weerasuriya RWP RSP ndu, Chief of Staff (COS) of the Sri Lanka Army on Tuesday (09) attended the first meeting of the Board of Management at the Army War College (AWC) in Buttala.

Major General S U M N Manage WWV RWP RSP psc, Director General General Staff (DGGS), Major General G W A. Seneviratne USP psc, Director, Directorate of Research Concept and Doctrine of the Sri Lanka Army also joined this meeting session.

During the stay, the Chief of Staff was invited to plant a sapling of ‘Ramonchi’ in front of the main auditorium to leave memories. Those Senior Officers during the subsequent meeting discussed and exchanged views on College's training modules, future plans and administrative matters in order to maintain high standards of the College.

After the briefing, the COS visited the main auditorium, library, Defence Studies Branch and the Model Room. Thereafter, he left compliments in the Visitors’ Book before he had an interactive session with officers at the War College at the Officers’ Mess before the departure.
