Major General W.H.K.S. Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndu, the Chief of Staff, made an official visit to the Colombo Army Hospital on 18 March 2024 with the intention of inquiring about the wellbeing of patients and administrative requirements on the premises.
Upon arrival, the Senior Officer was warmly welcomed by Major General P.A.C. Fernando USP, the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps, Brigadier R.M.G.B. Rathnayake RSP, Director of the Directorate of Management and Maintenance at the Colombo Army Hospital and Brigadier W.H.U.D. Wijerathne, Director of the Colombo Army Hospital. Subsequently, in accordance with military traditions, a ceremonial Guard Turnout was presented to the Chief of Staff.
Moments later, he participated in a comprehensive briefing conducted by the hospital staff and visited the hospital premises to inspect administrative matters. During the tour, he interacted with the patients and inquired about their medical conditions.
Towards the end, he left some compliments in the visitors’ book. Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks took part in the event.
