CES Troops Felicitate Outgoing Chief of Staff

Troops of the Corps of Engineers Service (CES) paid their gratitude and extended best wishes to their former Colonel Commandant Major General Jagath Gunawardena who served the office during 11october 2018 to 09 August 2019 and incumbent Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army on the eve of his retirement from the Army by appreciating the service rendered to the Corps of Engineer Services (CES) on Friday (11) where he was awarded military honours.

Major General Jagath Gunawardena was warmly welcomed by the Colonel Commandant, Corps of Engineer Services, Major General Rohana Ganegoda and invited to receive the Guard Turnout at the entrance of the Corps of Engineer Services HQ. Thereafter the Chief of Staff of the Army offered floral tributes to the CES War Heroes’ Monument and commemorated fallen war heroes of the Corps of Engineer Services. Subsequently a formal Guard of Honour was accorded to Major General Jagath Gunawardena by the CES troops.

Thereafter, the day’s Chief Guest addressed All Ranks at the Other Ranks’ Mess. Afterwards, the Colonel Commandant CES and all members of the Corps of Engineer Services showing gratitude to the outgoing Chief of Staff for undertaking a visit to them presented a memento to the Chief of Staff of the Army.

The Director General Engineer Services and Colonel Commandant CES, Major General Rohana Ganegoda, the Centre Commandant, CES, Brigadier K.M.S Kumara, Deputy Centre Commandant, CES, Colonel Nishantha Kithulgoda and Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks joined the occasion, adhering to COVID-19 rules and regulations.Sportswear free shipping | NIKE AIR HUARACHE
