CES Hosts Successful Inaugural Inter-Unit Drill Competition

The Corps of Engineer Services (CES) conducted the inaugural Inter-Unit Drill Competition on 14 and 15 March 2024, under the guidance of Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, the Director General Financial Management and Colonel Commandant of the ESR.

In a highly competitive event, 12 (V) ESR emerged victorious, claiming the first place of the competition. Following closely behind were the 3 ESR and 4 (V) ESR, securing the second and third positions respectively.

Several outstanding performances were recognized during the competition:

• Best Commander: Captain A.K.N Miushan from the 12 (V) ESR

• Best Drill Instructor: Staff Sergeant M.K.N Allawala from the 12 (V) ESR

• Best Marker: Sapper J.K.M.M.V.S Jayasinghe from the 3 ESR

The awarding ceremony was graced by the Colonel Commandant of CES as the Chief Guest. The Centre Commandant, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the ESR witnessed the Inter-Unit Drill Competition.
