Troops of the Security Force HQ - Central this morning (18 July) promptly acted and doused a fast spreading bush fire in the hilly forest area of Talagune, Ududumbara.
Major General W.W.H.R.R.V.M.N.D.K.B Niyangoda RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, Commander SF -Central on being informed of the forest fire dispatched a team of 20 Army personnel to the location and supervised the emergency work.
5 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) troops without allowing the fire to spread further brought it under control in less than two hours.
