The Army troops of the Security Forces Headquarters - Central with sponsorship given by a Colombo - based philanthropist distributed dry ration packs among 75 needy families, resident in the close by area, adjacent to the Kahagalla Tea Estate Company on Saturday (5).
The donor, Mr Krishna Gopi at the request of Major General Samantha Silva, Commander, Security Forces -Central, under the relief project provided dry ration packs, each worth Rs. 7500.00 to those families as those needy people are among the worst affected community in the area.
The donor, Mr. Krishna Gopi also participated in distributing dry ration packs among those recipients.
