Troops of the Security Force Headquarters-Central (SFHQ-Central) on 16 August 2023 extinguished a fast-spreading wildfire that occurred in the general area of Fox Hill, Diyatalawa.
20 Army personnel belonging to the SFHQ - Central including officers rushed to the location and brought the fire under control in close coordination with the guidelines given by the Commander, SF-Cental.
Due to the existing dry weather conditions of the country, troops across the country have been offering their assistance to bring those bushfires under control.
