Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-Cen) considering difficulties, faced by a physically-handicapped father of two children on an initiative taken by Major General Rukmal Dias, Commander, Security Forces - Central (SF-Cen), following directions given by the Commander of the Army lent its technical skills to a needy family for construction of a new home, courtesy the sponsorship given by Fonterra Brand Company.
Turned disabled due to a serious road accident, Mr Karunadasa at Nugathalawa, Welimada with his two school-going children became badly affected as he could not make a living to support the family any longer, prompting him to write to the Commander of the Army for assistance.
SFHQ-Cen troops swept into action and completed the construction of the house within a matter of three months under the overall supervision of the Commander, SFHQ-Cen with the support of the sponsor. Constructions were started on 09 July 2018.
On Friday (19), The Commander, SF- Cen, together with representatives of sponsors handed over the keys of the house to the beneficiary during a simple ceremony at the location.
In addition, both children of Mr Karunadasa were given scholarships for completion of higher studies with the support of a few cooperative villagers. A special thank was delivered to the sponsors on the same occasion.short url link | Nike - Sportswear - Nike Tracksuits, Jackets & Trainers
