Ceylon Biscuits Ltd (CBL), appreciative of tireless roles, being played by Army troops in the fight against transmission of COVID-19 in the country this afternoon (11) met Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army who is also the Head, National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) and gifted a large consignment of biscuits for distribution among Army personnel, engaged in epidemic control duties.
Mr Nalin Karunarathna, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) CBL, Mr Mahesh Anuruddha, Senior Brand Manager, Mr Romesh Jayathilake, Marketing Manager, Mr Janmesh Paul Anthony, General Manager Marketing with a few officials symbolically handed over a stock to the Army Chief on the occasion. The Army Chief in return thanked the CBL for their thoughtfulness and appreciation of Army roles since such gestures would serve a catalyst to their untiring and dedicated national roles.
The donation was coordinated by ‘Bauddhya TV’ channel.
