The Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch (SLSR-SVB) had its Annual General Meeting on Saturday (23 Sep) at the Regimental HQ Ambepussa where cash incentives were given away for medical consultations.
Mrs Omila Jayawardena, Chairperson of SLSR-SVB graced the occasion as the chief guest and was warmly welcomed by senior SLSR-SVB members.
As the first segment of the day, the audience attentively listened to a lecture conducted by Lieutenant Colonel E.A.A.S Chaminda of Directorate of Psychological Operations on the topic ‘The Role of a Warrior's Wife’.
Afterwards, one SLSR Non-Commissioned Officer received Rs. 100,000.00 to obtain medical treatment for his child and another soldier received Rs. 50,000.00 by way of cash intensive for his medical treatment respectively. In addition, a student of a civil employee's family following university studies was also presented a new laptop for her studies.
Moreover, new committee members were appointed for the SLSR-SVB and all participants received gifts from the Chairperson. Senior members of SLSR-SVB, Officers and Other Ranks also took part in the event.
