British High Commissioner Visits SFHQ - KLN

His Excellency Mr. James Dauris, British High Commissioner to Sri Lanka and Maldives on his way to the North called at the Security Forces Headquarters – Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) on Tuesday (29).

On behalf of Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana, Commander, SF-KLN, Major General Jagath Gunawardene, General Officer Commanding, 57 Division welcomed the British High Commissioner at the Headquarters premises.

The cordial and brief meeting that ensued discussed matters of mutual interests.

Furthermore, General Officer Commanding, 57 Division briefly explained the progress of the CIMIC activities being conducted by the Army in Kilinochchi area to promote reconciliation efforts of the government.

Towards the end of the cordial meeting, Major General Jagath Gunawardhana, General Officer Commanding 57 Division presented a memento to the British High Commissioner as a gesture of goodwill and appreciation.

The visiting diplomat left compliment in the visitors’ book before his departure.
