The Basic Swimming and Life Saving Course No. 19 Successfully Culminates

The passing-out ceremony of ‘Basic Swimming and Life Saving Course No. 19’, got underway at the Security Forces Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) Swimming pool Complex in Ranasewapura, Anuradhapura on 21 February 2024 under the gracious patronage of Major General W.P.A.D.W Nanayakkara RSP VSV USP ndu, Commander, Security Forces - Wanni, and the Colonel of the Regiment Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment.

27 male soldiers representing the respective regiments of the Sri Lanka Army followed the course enthusiastically. Private V.A.P Kumara of 17 Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment was awarded the certificate as the best student of the course.

The passing-out ceremony was included with various cultural dance events, followed by the life-saving demonstration and swimming display by course participants.
