Awareness Programme at SFHQ-W to Mark 'National No Tobacco Week'

Mr Sampath de Seram and Mr Indika Rajapakshe of the ‘Alcohol and Drug Information Center’ launched an awareness programme on narcotics at the Security Force Headquarters Wanni (SFHQ-W) auditorium on Friday (05) with the participation of 20 officers and 400 soldiers serving the SFHQ-W.

This program was conducted to coincide with the ‘National No Tobacco Week’ declared by the Presidential Task Force on Drug Prevention from May 31 to June 6 to make military personnel enlighten on dangers of the use of narcotics and consumption of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.

This programme was initiated on the instructions of Major General Boniface Perera, Commander SFHQ-W and the Directorate of Psychological Operations.
