The 682 Brigade HQ under the 68 Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu intending to encourage and educate civilians, interested in producing organic fertilizer (solid/liquid) staged a special workshop at the 'Keweli Selvar Paakyalingam' Farm on Thursday (30).
The workshop, conducted by agrarian experts in the area educated a group of 18 farmers in the 682 Brigade area was also attended by a group of Army personnel, now into the production of fertilizer inside the 682 Brigade HQ premises.
Meanwhile, a coordinating a conference on the production of organic fertilizer got underway at the Kilinochchi District Secretariat on Friday (24) following initiatives taken by the 57 Division HQ at Kilinochchi on the directions of Major General Sanjaya Wanasinghe, Commander, Security Forces - Mullaittivu.
Agrarian Officers and other stakeholders joined the discussion.
