Course attendees at the Army Training School (ATS) in Maduru Oya Counter Insurgency Jungle Warfare Course and few other courses on Sunday (2) undertook an expedition to the Kandegama Dananjaya Raja Maha Vihara of historic importance with a view to exploring the temple’s contribution to the annals of Buddhist scriptures and also its relevance to the mountain range which has been recognized as of a treasure during the reign of kings.
116 Officers including foreign students, 7 instructors and over 100 Other Ranks joined the expedition as a contribution to the modules that have been made compulsory in the ‘Sri Lanka Army Way Forward Strategy - 2020 - 25’.
