ASL Gets Sponsors to Help China Bay-Resident Pregnant Women & Students

The ‘Api Soyana Manussakama' (Humanity that We Seek) organization at Kalutara offered their generosity and coordinated with the Army for distribution of essentials to fifty (50) pregnant women and stationeries to eleven (11) deserving school children, resident in China Bay area in Trincomlee on Saturday (13) after inviting the beneficiaries to the Army School of Logistics (ASL) premises.

The project was launched following an initiative of the ASL Commandant, Brigadier Menaka Fernando who sought assistance for the distribution of essentials from the above-mentioned sponsor.

Ven Mahakehelwala Lakkhana Thero, Incumbent at Bambarakiriella, Deganthuduwa Lenagiri Aranya Senasanaya (monastery), the chief patron of the organization invoked blessings on expectant women and school children before infant ware and school accessories were given away.

Mr Ashoka Ravindra, Founder, ‘Api Soyana Manussakama' organization, together with members of the organization, the Chief Instructor, Senior Officers and Permanent Staff Officers at the ASL joined the distribution of gift packs among those women and children.
