The Sri Lanka Army woman soldier, Private L.S.D Perera of 7 Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC) during Asian Hockey Tournament, held in Indonesia (6-14 June) representing the Sri Lankan team, emerged a winner in the first round on 7 June beating her rival team.
The Sri Lanka Hockey team accordingly scored 5-0 and emerged victorious and carried away the ‘Best Player’ title in the tournament. The tournament was held in Jakarta, Indonesia.
