Army Woman Cricketers Beat Matara SC

Sri Lanka Army Woman cricketers beat Matara SC by 318 runs in the Womens Division I (limited overs) Cricket Tournament, organized by Sri Lanka Cricket Association, played at Army Cricket Grounds, Panagoda on July 31.

Excellent performances, displayed by Private H.I.S. Mendis, scored 105 runs while Sergeant S.D.N.S. Karunarathne took 3 wickets for the victory over Matara SC.

Batting first, Army Women’s Cricket team scored 363 runs in their allotted 50 overs. In reply, Matara SC players were bowled out for 45 runs in 26.2 overs.

The Army Women’s Cricket Team will play the next match against Sri Lanka Air Force SC on 03 August at Rifle Green Grounds, Colombo.
