Army-used Land in Padippalai Released to Owners

A land patch of 2 acres in Padippalai Gama Niladari Division in Kokkadicholei area, hitherto used by 11 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) troops was released to the Manmunei South West Divisional Secretariat on Friday (30 Dec) for onward release of it to rightful owners.

The release took place under the supervision of Brigadier Dilupa Bandara, Commander, 231 Infantry Brigade in conformity with the instructions, given by the Army HQ and those owners were present at the location.

Brigadier Dilupa Bandara, Commander, 231 Infantry Brigade, District Land Secretary for Batticaloa, Assistant Divisional Secretary of Manmunai, South West, Land owners, Officers and Other Ranks were present at the time of the vacation of the land and its subsequent release ceremony.
