Exhibits of the Sri Lanka Army were among the attractions on display during the centenary celebrations of the Matara Rahula College and its grand exhibition, 'Vidyabhimani 2023' that got underway during 25-27 April inside the college premises.
HE the President Ranil Wickremesinghe graced the inauguration of the project as the Chief Guest.
On request, Army personnel also established several exhibition stalls in the compound in order to enhance the students' knowledge and awareness on Army armoured vehicles, explosives, ordnance and other equipment, used in Sri Lanka and the overseas.
Meanwhile, prior to the exhibition, Army personnel of the 3 (v) Battalion Gemunu Watch of the 613 Infantry Brigade, providing Drill Instructors of the Army contributed their expertise assistance to the successful training of the drill parade that was presented by students to the day's Chief Guest, HE the President.
The General Officer Commanding, 61 Infantry Division on the instructions of the Commander, Security Forces-West closely supervised Army arrangements and supportive roles.
