On the directions of the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Daya Rathnayake, troops of the 111, 112 and 121 Brigade under 11 and 12 Divisions of the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) distributed drinking water to drought-hit areas on directions of Major General A.M Perera, Commander, SFHQ-C on Monday (25).
Troops of the 111 Brigade distributed 12,100 liters of drinking water to 73 families at Minipe Divisional Secretariat area on Monday (25). On the same day 112 Brigade troops provided 80,600 liters of drinking water to 878 families at Ridimaliyedda and Meegahakiula Divisional Secretariat areas.
Meanwhile, troops of the 121 Brigade allocated 435,500 liters of drinking water to 18,145 families in 70 Gramaseva Divisions at Siyambalanduwa, Tanamalvila, Wellawaya, Buttala, Moneragala, Medagama, Bibila and Madulla Divisional Secretariat areas on Monday (25).
