Army Team Enters Final Hockey Encounter

‘H.D.S Fonseka Memorial Trophy for Hockey Championship – 2014’ took place during Feb 14 - 15 at Edward playground and Nandimithra Ekanayake International Hockey ground.

Organized by Matale Christ Church Old Boys Association, the final encounter kicked off between hockey teams of Sri Lanka Army and Christ Church College at Matale.

However, the final encounter ended up in a draw.

Lance Corporal K.A.A.A. Dissanayake led the Army Hockey team. Rifleman H.M.T.K Hendeniya of the Army was selected as the Best Goal Keeper in the tournament.
