Army Soldiers Buy School Accessories for Bogaswewa Students

All Officers and Other Rankers of the 66 Division under the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) co-sponsored the distribution of a stock of school accessories among students of low-income families in Bogaswewa, Vavuniya on Tuesday (12).

Six clever students of Bogaswewa Maha Vidyalaya were the beneficiaries of the arrangement after troops with the support of school authorities selected those students considering their economic plight and hardships.

Officers and Other Rankers voluntarily co-sponsored the purchase of those items for students after the realities were brought to the notice of those soldiers. Some of those troops have served Bogaswewa area before they moved to 66 Division in Pooneryn.

Brigadier Deepthi Jayathilaka, General Officer Commanding, 66 Division attended the occasion at the 66 Division premises as the Chief Guest.

Senior Officers, parents and teachers were among the gathering.
