Sri Lanka Army personnel adding their aesthetic skills to the 'Vesak' commemoration presented a spectacle of 'Bakthi Gee' (devotional songs) at Galle Face green esplanade on the second day of the festival on Saturday (6) in the presence of Hon President's Secretary, Mr E.M.S.B Ekanayake, Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, President of Army Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs Janaki Liyanage and a host of other state officials and invitees.
On the same occasion, the Commander of the Army together with others switched on the lights in the Vesak pandol at the same premises and inaugurated the free eatery (Dansela) as dusk fell.
