The popular Army musical ensemble, ‘Highlanders’ rent the air in Mullaittivu on Saturday (25) with rhythmic beats and accompanying entertaining features during a mega musical show organized by the 59 Division HQ on the directions of Major General Jayantha Seneviratne, Commander, Security Forces - Mullaittivu (SF-MLT).
The gesture, meant to further strengthen bonds of goodwill, reconciliation and understanding between members of the Security Forces and native civilians, kicked off at Karnatakani - Kokilai ground.
A massive crowd amidst dancing features of artists, like Surya Kumar Mutthalage, M Kalawathi, George Senanayake, Chandani Silva and Ranaviru Real Stars thronged the ground for the musical entertainment. Choreographed by ‘Praveena’ and ‘Shine Girls’, the glamorous event received the assistance of renowned comperes, Nadeeka Karunayake along with Senthil Nathan and Gopinathan.
The whole programme was well organized by 593 Brigade troops on the guidelines given by the Commander, 593 Brigade, Colonel Wasantha Palamakumbura.
General Officer Commanding, 59 Division, Brigadier Priyantha Perera closely supervised the project.
Major General Jayantha Seneviratne, Commander, SF-MLT, graced the event as the Chief Guest as the dusk fell on Saturday (25).
Religious Leaders, Commander, Forward Maintenance Area - Mullaittivu, General Officers Commanding of Divisions, Brigade Commanders, Senior Officers of Navy and Air Force, Police, government officials, community leaders and hundreds of youngsters were there until late night. Adidas shoes | Nike
