Army Mobile Vaccination Teams Back at Work

Giving a helping hand to the government's ongoing vaccination project, Sri Lanka Army Medical teams on Monday (31) provided the booster dose to all employees of the Department of Immigration & Emigration at Battaramulla in response to a request, made to General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army.

Similarly, mobile Army medical teams as well have begun the booster vaccination programme across the country during the current 'Vaccination Week' as announced by the government.

Army medical teams when the first round of the epidemic hit the country last year pioneered the conduct of vaccination centres and mobile vaccination programmes in order to vaccinate as many civilians as possible across the country. The record project came in for praise of all quarters as Army troops succeeded in completing the responsibility expeditiously and methodically.
