Army Karatekas Do Well in National Games

Sri Lanka Army Karatekas, participating in the National Karate Tournament in the 40th National Games Festival, just concluded, won 4 Gold medals, 5 Silver medals and 7 Bronze medals at Sports Ministry Ground.
 
A team of 16 Karatekas of the Army representing Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Sri Lanka National Guards, Sri Lanka Engineers, Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps took part in the tournament.
 
Lance Corporal U.B.B Sujeewa, Private S.L.A Kanchana Silva, Private M.W.B Samanmalee and Private N.M Dilrukshi of the Army fetched Gold medals in ‘Kumite’ events.
