Army Judo players who took part in the recent Thailand’s International Judo North Bangkok University Championship - 2017 won a Silver and four Bronze medals.
Sri Lanka Army was represented by eight participants, including their trainees in the tournament, competed by more than 300 male and female contestants from many countries.
Following are the achievers;
Lance Corporal S.A.N.I Bandara of 9 VIR won a Silver Medal (under 100kg weight class)
Lance Corporal H.M.M.B Seneviratne of 2 (V) SLEME won a Bronze Medal (under 55kg weight class)
Private W.A.W.P Premarathne of 4 SLNG won a Bronze Medal (under 60kg weight class)
Private M.M.S Kumara of 11 SLNG won a Bronze Medal (under 66kg weight class)
Private E.M.T.R Ekanayake of 6 GR won a Bronze Medal (under 70kg weight class)
