Army Director Training paid a visit to the newly-improved Centre for Army Vocational Training (CAVT) at Kalaoya, Saliyawewa on Thursday (23).
Brigadier G.V Ravipriya, Director Training inspected the training center and inquired into the training modules being conducted at the CAVT.
During the visit, he conducted a survey on possibilities of introducing more professional and vocational courses of more importance considering requirements in the present day society.
Director Training in addition conducted several rounds of talks with the Directors of Vocational Training Authority who were present to upgrade the NVQ III level course up to the NVQ IV level.
During his stay, he also gave away certificates to 30 Army students and 4 civil students who followed different Training Courses at the CAVT in 2016.
