Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) with sponsorship, extended by Lions Clubs International Negombo gifted 11 wheelchairs to most deserving civilians in Jaffna as one more civil-military cooperation project on Sunday (28), held at Velanai Central College, Jaffna.
Major General Priyantha Perera, Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna, together with Mr. Deva D Peter, Chairman of Multiple Council, Lions Club International joined the distribution during a brief ceremony, in which Major General Priyantha Perera spoke in Tamil and highlighted the importance of further promotion of civil-military cooperation for enhancement of bonds of reconciliation, goodwill and harmony in the peninsula. He also thanked the Lions Club International for their thoughtfulness.
At the conclusion, Mr. Deva D Peter commended the utmost contribution of the Security Forces for prevention of COVID-19 and donated a stock of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and face masks to the Army at the same occasion.
