Hundreds of football players, attached to 27 civil football clubs, expected to take part in the 68 Division HQ-organized football tournament attended its inaugural ceremony on Sunday (23) at Iranapalai St Anthony’s playground.
Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) with the aim of promoting sports skills among the youth in Mullaittivu District launched this programme on the directions of its Commander, Major General Jayantha Seneviratne with coordination of the 68 Division HQ in Nanthikandal, Mullaittivu.
Major General R.M.P.J Ratnayake, General Officer Commanding, 68 Division attended the inaugural occasion, together with a large group of civilians, football players and Army personnel.
