Lance Corporal Sanjeewa Nuwan of Sri Lanka Armoured Corps was adjudged the Best Boxer and the Army won 07 Gold medals and two Silver Medals in the just-concluded 79th Layton Cup Boxing Tournament that got underway at the Royal MAS Arena during 13-17 August.
The finals worked off on Saturday night (17) and Army boxers emerged with flying colours.
148 plus boxers including Army, Navy, Air Force, Police, MAS, Slime Line and several other leading sports clubs vied in the tournament, held under 10 weight classes.Running sport media | nike
