Army Billiards & Snooker Players Clinch Championship for the 3rd Consecutive Year

The Warrant Officer I, S.P Susantha Wickrama playing ‘Billiards and Snooker’ in the 12th Defence Services Games (DSG) in the ‘1 Hour’ Competition, Lance Corporal, M.M Mudeen in the ‘100 Mark’ and the ‘Pot Black Snooker’ competitions, Lance Corporal C.M.P Chandrasekara in the ‘Snooker-1’, Lance Corporal S.S Dilruwan in the ‘6 Red Snooker’ and Private M.S.M.N Fernando in the ‘Red Snooker’ competitions won first places during 2-4 November. It was held at Air Force Base Katunayaka with the participants of tri service competitors.

13 Sri Lanka Army Billiards and Snooker players participated in the competition. Beating Navy and Air Force Players, Army Billiards and Snooker players won the overall championship for the third consecutive time (2018, 2020 and 2022).

Major General Anil Udayakumara of Sri Lanka Engineers, Chairman of Sri Lanka Army Billiards and Snooker Committee, offered the necessary guidance and instructions for the winners. Major General Anil Udayakumara witnessed the final matches as the Guest of Honour and joined the awarding ceremony. Air Vice Marshal V.B Edirisinghe, Director Air Operations graced the awarding ceremony as the Chief Guest.
