Another New House for a Deserving Family in Seruwawila

Major General M.K.U.P. Gunarathne RSP ndu psc IG, the Commander of the Security Forces Headquarters - East as a Chief Guest officially handed over a newly constructed house to the beneficiary, Mrs. Mallika Chandralatha in Seruwawila on 11 April 2024 during a simple ceremony.

The troops of the 9th Battalion of Sri Lanka Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment successfully completed the construction within a 03-month period under the guidance of the Commander of the Security Forces Headquarters - East. Major General P.A.M Peiris RSP USP psc, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 22 Infantry Division, and Commander, 222 Infantry Brigade supervised the housing project and Mr. Chinthika Abeyratne extended much required financial assistance.

The General Officer Commanding of 22 Infantry Division, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, generous philanthropists, Mr. Chinthika Abeyratne and Mr. Bhathiya Jayakodi, and villagers of the area took part in the housewarming ceremony.
