Air Mobile Brigade Troops Erect Sanitary Facilities for Orphaned Children at Embilipitiya

The Air Mobile Brigade troops of the 53 Infantry Division with sponsorship received from expatriates erected a set of new sanitary facilities and wash rooms for the benefit of orphaned and physically-handicapped children at ‘Meth Sevena’ Children’s Home in Embilipitiya and vested them in the administration on Monday (28).

Brigadier Subath Sanjeewa, Air Mobile Brigade Commander of the 53 Infantry Division under the guidance of Major General Shanaka Rathnayake, General Officer Commanding of the 53 infantry Division carried out this project with sponsorship provided by the US-based philanthropists, Mr.Sarath Kalupahana and Ms Pinidi Kalupahana.

In addition, on the same day, children at ‘Meth Sevena' and nearby ‘Boadhiraajaramaya’ Children’s Homes received a delicious lunch and gift packs, which consisted of essentials and confectionaries.

Troops organized the event in close collaboration with administrators at both Children’s Homes.
