Major General W.W.H.R.R.V.M.N.D.K.B Niyangoda RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, Adjutant General of the Army made a formal visit to the Army War College (AWC) on 25 April 2024. The purpose of his visit was to inquire about the ongoing processes related to the administrative and academic functions of the College.
The day’s agenda commenced after the Commandant of AWC, Major General U.K.D.D.P Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc welcomed the visiting Senior Officer on arrival at the AWC premises after he was greeted in a Guard Turnout.
Afterwards, a comprehensive briefing on AWC was then conducted by the Commandant, providing Adjutant General with detailed insights into the college's operations. Following this, the Adjutant General addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of carrying out all entrusted duties with a complimentary military bearing towards the institution.
Further, the Senior Officer visited the camp premises before joining Officers at the Officers’ Mess for lunch. Towards the end, the Commandant of AWC presented a special memento to Adjutant General and prior to his departure he penned down some complimentary remarks in the visitors’ book.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of AWC were also present at the event.
