The Passing out Parade (PoP) of 93 recruits of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) who followed the Basic Provost Course No-82 took place on Saturday (13 May) at the SLCMP Training School in Giritale amid a gathering of Officers, Other Ranks and relatives of the recruits.
Major General A.L Illangakoon, Commander Forward Maintenance Area (Mullaitivu) and Colonel Commandant of SLCMP graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Special merit awards were presented to following categories under different fields of excellence on the same occasion.
Second Lieutenant W.M.G.K Wijesundara was awarded as the Best Platoon Commander and Private M.A.D.D Munasinghe was the Best Recruit in the course.
