9 VIR Distributes ‘Sisu Udana’ Savings Accounts and School Bags to Mahaveligama Primary School Children

Under the coordination of Commanding Officer, Major C.D.P Jayathilaka RWP RSP, troops of the 9 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (9 VIR) organized an event at Mahaveligama Primary School, Trincomalee, to distribute ‘Sisu Udana’ savings accounts and school bags to 90 students on their first day of admission 22 February 2024.

The People’s Bank in Trincomalee sponsored the event. Lieutenant Colonel J.P.N.B Jayasooriya USP, Civil Affairs Officer, 222 Infantry Brigade graced the event as the chief guest.

Senior Officers, Officers, Officials of Trincomalee People’s Bank and Other Ranks were also present during the event.
