82 Deaths Reported on Tuesday (3) - NOCPCO

As of this morning (5), a total of 2,561 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them, 18 were Sri Lankan expatriates. The rest 2,543 were locally-identified positive cases, including the majority 393 from Gampaha District, 388 from Colombo District, 382 from Kalutara District and 1,380 others from different Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (5), a total of 318,774 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them, 208,391 were reported after the New Year.

By Thursday (5) morning (past 24 hours), 1,754 recovered patients have left Intermediate Care Centers and Hospitals. On 03 August, 82 more deaths have been reported, including 41 males and 41 females.

As of Thursday (5), 4,239 persons in 65 hotels and tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. By Thursday (5) morning, 652 persons have left 18 QCs after completion of their quarantining process.
