Troops of the 8 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (8 SLSR) of the 611 Infantry Brigade and the 61 Infantry Division under the Security Force HQ - West, recently conducted a specially-designed ‘Leadership’ training programme for 50 students including prefects at Udamakadawara Kanishta Vidyalaya in Kegalle on Saturday (01 July) at the school premises.
The leadership programme included a variety of sessions with lectures, indoor and outdoor exercises, and demonstrations. These sessions were designed to provide students with a realistic training experience, allowing them to gain valuable insights and experiences in the art of leadership.
This was arranged at the request of school authorities with the blessings of the Commander, Security Forces - West, and under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding of the 61 Infantry Division. Commander of the 611 Infantry Brigade and the Commanding Officer of 8 SLSR who closely supervised the programme.
