8 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) troops of the 141 Infantry Brigade and the 14 Infantry Division under the Security Force HQ - West (SF-West) launched a community project to clean the surroundings around the Divisional Hospital complex in Udupila and provided lunch to 100 resident patients including pregnant mothers who visited the maternity clinic on Tuesday (Feb 28).
Brigadier Bandula Kariyawasam, Commander, 141 Infantry Brigade initiated this project on the directions of Major General Deepal Pussella, Commander, SF-West and Major General Roshan Jaymanna, General Officer Commanding, 14 Infantry Division.
Accordingly, 03 Officers and 30 Other Ranks actively participated in this charity project under the close supervision of Lieutenant Colonel I.A.L Illeperuma, Commanding Officer, 8 SLLI.
