The 2nd recruit training programme at Rantembe Training School of the 11 Division under the Security Force HQ-Central got to a start on Thursday (30) during a simple ceremony.
A record group of 770 young recruits to be in line with the Army Chief's 'Way Forward Strategy 2020- 2025' began their training which would cover several months.
Major General Kithisiri Liyanage, General Officer Commanding, 11 Division HQ graced the event as the Chief Guest at the inaugural ceremony, attended by the school Commandant, instructors and several senior Officers. A brief speech to the occasion by the Chief Guest motivated the new recruits.
