The foundation stone laying ceremony for construction of 75 houses for landslide victims at the Meeriyabedda area was held at the Ampitikanda land on Thursday (18).
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Secretary to Ministry of Defence and Urban Development (MOD & UD) as the Chief Guest.
Minister Aarumugan Thondaman, Deputy Minister Muthusivalingam and a large number of civilians took part in the foundation-laying ceremony.
