7274 More Set to Go Home After Recovery

As of this morning (2), 2 persons who arrived from overseas were confirmed positive to COVID-19. They are from Oman (02) at Hekitta QC Kundasale QC, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By 6.00 this morning (2), the total number of detainees in quarantine at Kandakadu and Senapura Treatment and Rehabilitation Centres for Drug Addicts stands at 650.

The flight EK 648 from Dubai with 47 passengers, the flight QR 688 from Doha, Qatar with 01 passengers and the flight UL455 9034 from Japan, Narita with 17 passengers have arrived in Colombo. All of those passengers were referred to Quarantine Centres, managed by tri-services after formalities at the airport.

Within the day (2), 342 quarantined individuals after PCR tests are set to leave for their homes. Of them, 02 persons are from Ruwala Kaplpitiya QC, 182 from Purawasakulam QC, 05 from Jetwin Lagoon QC, 143 from gold Sand QC, 06 from Wellawatta QC and 04 from Galkissa QC.

Likewise, 47,252 individuals by this morning (2) have been sent back home after quarantining. As of this morning (2), 7274 persons in 79 tri-service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. Within yesterday (1), 1651 PCR tests were carried out across the country and the total PCR tests conducted so far stands at 289,588.

By 6.00 this morning (2), 3 fully recovered persons of COVID-19 affected went back to their homes from hospitals. All of them are expatriates. The total number of fully-recovered detainees in quarantine at Kandakadu and Senapura Treatment and Rehabilitation Centres for Drug Addicts stands at 648.
