9 (V) Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) troops of the 681 Brigade under command to the 68 Division considering a request made to them constructed a new Volley Ball court for players in the ‘Selva Sports Club’and formally handed it over to them, on Monday (27).
The court was prepared in the general area of Mullivaikkal East Grama Niladhari division in consultation with local state officials. Troops of 9 (V) Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) constructed the volley ball court showing their warmth and goodwill towards players.
A friendly match between SLNG players and Selva Sports Club inaugurated the court.
Brigade Commander, 681 Brigade, Colonel C. S Munasingha attended the brief inaugural ceremony as the chief guest and handed over gift packs including sports items to the sports club.
