The 66 Division HQ troops under the SFHQ-Mullaittivu reaped the first capsicum harvest of the Division's 'Green House' which used only organic fertilizer produced by the troops of Division Headquarters for the cultivation on Sunday (19).
Major General Lasantha Rodrigo, General Officer Commanding 66 Division, after the success of the project which collected about 30 kg of capsicum from their organic cultivation gave instructions to all under command formations and battalions to follow suit and begin cultivating in the same manner.
Organic fertilizer stocks are also to be produced in respective compost projects under the 66 Division. The General Officer Commanding distributed saplings among all the formations in order to encourage organic cultivations in their respective areas.
