Troops of the 653 Brigade of the 65 Division under the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) cleaned the Therankandal Government Tamil Mixed School premises in a Shramadana on Tuesday (03) together with staff of the school.
21 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) troops of the 653 Brigade conducted this community project with the participation of 30 Army troops at the request of school authorities destroying breeding places for mosquitoes. Brigadier Wasantha Kumarapperuma, General Officer Commanding 65 Division has instructed the 653 Brigade Commander to assist the project.
Meanwhile, 573 Brigade troops of the 57 Division at the request of school authorities did a cleaning programme at the Vaddakachchi Tamil Mixed School premises.
