Troops of the 652 Infantry Brigade of the 65 Infantry Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna with the coordination of the Coconut Cultivation Board distributed 1000 coconut saplings among 250 families living in Pandyankulam area after inviting them to the Pandyankulam community hall on 02 May.
The Commander 652 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier W.A.U.S Wanasekara RWP USP and Divisional Secretary for Manthai attended the distribution programme as Chief Guests.
Each family received four coconuts saplings under the scheme.
Commanding Officer, 10 Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment, Officer in charge of Naddankaddal Police Station and Other Ranks were among the invitees who participated in the event.
