65 Infantry Division Gets Essential Medicine to Anuradhapura Hospital

Kind patronage and generosity extended to the 65 Infantry Division of the Security Force HQ-Wanni by Dehiwala-based ‘Mr. Sivagnanam Menon’ Foundation facilitated the supply of a stock essential medicines to the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital since the shortage of drugs in the hospital has posed a big setback in the treatment of patients and surgeries.

The initiative of Major General Prasad Edirisinghe, General Officer Commanding of the 65 Infantry Division coordinated with the donor after the Consultant surgeon in the surgical ward at Anuradhapura Teaching hospital turned to the Army for assistance.

Colonel M A Luxman, Volunteer Coordinator of the 65 Infantry Division handed over those essential medicines to the hospital authority on 23 December on behalf the GOC.
